A man around sixty years of age stood on the podium speaking deliberately and with great confidence. Wang Fengqi, who graduated from Peking Union Medical College, had embraced his passion for traditional Chinese medicine. Afterwards, he travelled far and wide to seek out famous traditional Chinese medical doctors who were willing to impart their knowledge. Ultimately, he gathered the knowledge from a spectrum of different studies in Eastern medicine and pioneered his own field of study. Being in the Eastern medical field for 40 years, it could be said that he was the Tai Mountain’s Big Dipper [2] of the Eastern herbal medical field of China.

When he first retired, Peking University put in a lot of effort into persuading him to be their traditional Chinese medical professor. This event was so important that it made news headlines and wrecked the media. Many young adults who were passionate about medicine made it their goal to be admitted by Peking University, so they could attend this man’s lectures.

“Traditional Chinese medicine’s properties focus on senses such as listening, seeing, asking and feeling the pulse [3]. It is very different from Western medicine. Studying traditional Chinese medicine allows us to know what disease or illness a person is suffering through the external appearance of a person’s body. This is also the reason why Western people consider traditional Chinese medicine to be amazing, and the most amazing skill of traditional Chinese medicine is acupuncture.
