As we turn into a neighborhood that Uncle Liam says is the one we live in, green lawns and trees abound throughout the neighborhood, and kids are out playing. All houses around here are of a similar build: multi-story, single-family homes.
Uncle Liam soon pulls in front of a house and settles on the landing pad. Aunt Sandy opens my door for me. I unbuckle myself and follow her around to the trunk to help the two of them carry my numerous bags into the house.
For all the changes I’ve seen (the cars, stores, and hospitals), we've arrived at a home that seemingly looks perfectly normal to me. But, of course, that is merely a surface impression since there are differences from how I thought of homes.
I look around as Uncle Liam opens the trunk. A cool breeze lifts my hair and caresses my skin, which I rather enjoy, even if I do have to mind my skirt to keep my panties from showing. I hear voices behind me, turn to look, and see several people approaching us.
