After much complaining, wheedling, some whining thrown in for good measure, and the final straw, getting Mom on our side, Dad agreed to have a home gym built for us. We need to work out to keep ourselves toned. We’ve been going to a gym that’s nearby, but after a few very creepy leers and stares from some of the members... Well, you get why we kept after Dad about it. Thankfully, he finally gave in, and a couple of days later, he had a quick session with a designer. The day after that, a small crew arrived at the house as we were preparing to leave for ballet. The lead informed everyone that for safety reasons, we’d need to be gone for a few hours while the nanites were doing their thing. When we return about 4 that afternoon after eating lunch and leisurely walking around and browsing through shops.
Additionally, Harper and I are dealing with a rollercoaster of changes—some good, some bad. Harper and I have both grown taller, and our bodies are slowly transforming us from girls into young women. It’s definitely an awkward phase, but we’re managing the best we can.
The worst part about puberty so far has been the growing pains. Our hips are widening, and our legs are getting longer, which is great for ballet but not so great for comfort while it’s happening. Some days it feels like something is squeezing our bones from the inside out, and no amount of stretching or hot baths can relieve the discomfort.
One minor bright point is the feeling of having hard, irritating lumps underneath overly sensitive nipples is thankfully waning, though still present, but now our skin is being stretched as our boobs begin to fill in. That is another source of discomfort, but wearing sports bras that compress them does relieve some of the irritation from their growth.
