Vol.25 Chapter 2: A decision five years later

The evening twilight was beginning to envelop the sky over the capital city of Emperia. The western edge was gradually turning from orange to purple, and then to a deeper indigo. The orange color resisted. It refused to acknowledge the setting sun. It was still daytime. The evening would continue. But the power of darkness pressed in on the western sky, leaving no room for argument. The orange world retreated to the western edge, just above the horizon, devoured by purple, and then swallowed by the deeper indigo, disappearing completely. It's just like her future, thought Valkyria as she floated in the sky. She still hasn't been able to ask Hiroto about it. They've been together for four years, but she's too scared to ask. She's not a coward. Valkyria can even fight her enemies. She could even dive into the arrows. Yet she couldn't bring herself to ask that one question. 「Are you going back to your original world?」, if he said yes, she'd be scared. No, even if he didn't say yes, if he gave a dull umm......she'd be scared. He hesitated because he didn't want to stay in this world. Deep down, he wanted to return to his original world. Seeing that would be terrifying. Nostalgia must be strong even for the Diferente like Hiroto. If it weren't for Hiroto, Valkyria wouldn't be in a foreign capital.
