The next couple of days passed quietly, one cloudy and the other she spent almost entirely indoors due to the rain. It was a good thing too, she figured. Hydration was important! For people and plants alike.
Elynara kept herself to light chores, small guild quests, helping with laundry, and reading in small stretches tucked away in the library’s warmth. She kept up with her mana practice however, just not overmuch. Enough to keep progressing, but never pushing to the edge of exhaustion like before.
The change was subtle at first, but she noticed how the mornings came easier. Her head felt clearer, her body less weighed down by the constant ache that came from pushing herself too far, too often. She even caught herself humming once while sweeping, stopping only when she realized what she was doing.
As an added benefit, when she drew in mana now, it was cleaner, smoother, the threads settling into her core without the resistance they once held.
