When asked what they feared most on the battlefield, the answer differed depending on what kind of soldier they were.

Infantry feared cavalry, and cavalry feared spearmen…… In this way, each kind of soldier had its strengths and weaknesses. Needless to say, there was no such thing as the strongest type of soldier, and deploying the right kind of soldiers in the right place was paramount.
