Since Ea used to help out Souya back in the days it's probably that she's getting a nostalgic feeling when they work together in the kitchen,doesn't seem like she's gonna bring up any vague memories with him any time soon.Also I nearly thought that Rutsuko was able to communicate from her side but this little squid was the one doing it.but damn telepathic comms through the tentacles that's neat
