Thanks for reading and commenting, Foxteller6969! I won't say they were evolved from them. The spiders were used as building materials to create it.

So grizunaz does not come from outer space,
Solo3 years ago
Thanks for reading and commenting, Ntuzzzmutz! Yeah, it sure does seem as if she's the mentioned god in the depths of the planet when the humans arrived, no?

As expected, the Odoriji Spire was a spaceship and time travel do exist. lola arc gave us a strong hint about this. But, what lies deep in the core of the planet? It's not Grizunas right?
Solo3 years ago
Thanks for reading and commenting, Ruby! Yeah, time travel was kinda shown to exist way early. As for Grizunas, that would be the prevailing thought, no? Read more

Holy.....that's a lot to take in It was understandable with the tentacle goddess be present in the past the planet itself was all water and still no land. Do Grizunas have an ability to incubate an aqueous brain and revert them back to flesh and bones or is Grizunas just literally a Disney fairy that can make dreams come true XD Read more There's too much to take in I'm frying my brains Thanks for the translation Solo Show less

I mean it's the effect of time travel. Rutsuko's world has no A.I, yes. But it is how things are originally supposed to be. But the crew's action has altered that part of the history, which splitted her and Souya's present into 2 separate timeline. The question is, was the Ark built in Souya's timeline, or hers. I was leaning toward the latter because the crew members were the trigger of the shift in the continuous timeline, which they certainly did not expect. But now that I think about it, that doesn't explain how the Ark has the function to call back A.I.s like Izora.

You'll find out a bit more later, but yes, the author has deliberately left that unanswered. The Ark could have come from another alternate world that's neither Rutsuko's or Souya's too.

Welp.... apprarently most of my guesses are incorrect and I am an idiot now. That said, things really fit together seemlessly eh. So the Ark is, I assumed, from Rutsuko's future where Earth is destroyed and they are forced to land on this planet after the fight with the spiders, and Gunmerry is part of the ship's defence. Then the told history happened and with Grizunas' offer they returned to the past, albeit in aqueous form, then got captured and turned into the A.I.s of Souya's present. Boom, mind blown. And so the Grizunas is the actual deity of this planet, not human eh. I always felt something off about her, as she is different from the pseudo-god formed by the collective-consciousness of human. The part I am uncertain is what actually happened to the crew though. Did she convert them into some sort of her offshoot because that is the only way I can explain Moth-Moth's connection with her. And also the one who stopped her from harming Souya back then, and the master code. Still more to explore eh. And finally, the part that is bugging me the most. How the heck can the A.I. multiply? They have actual souls, not like some random code that can be copy-paste. Do they split like the unicellunar and new souls are born? But if that's the case then why all of them dream of the Ark? I'm way more confused than I should be about a matter that may not contribute to the story at all now Read more

Thanks for reading and commenting, OguriKyousuke! To begin with, Rutsoko's world had no A.I.s, so that part is wrong. She met the Gunmerrys in this world. Remember the mentions of how Grizunas lent her strength to the king of Elysium? She likely decided to helped the crew and continued to do so, so there's a connection to them. More on her connection to them in further chapters! Read more As for how the A.I.'s are multiplied, more next chapter! Show less

My head hurts even more. The pods are or were humans? This is a bigger twist than finding out that the planet of the apes was earth all along. It is said that technology that can not be understood is no different from magic so this makes sense. Theory portion: 1. The portal was opened to a earth not the earth of mother and the crew. This is why Souya is unaware. Read more 2. The reason that earth is a mere memory is that the sun finally went supernova consuming the inner planets of the solar system as well as a portion of the asteroid belt. Show less

Thanks for reading and commenting, dadamori! The portal opened to Souya's world, that's why there are A.I.s in his world at all. Whether that is Mother's original world is up in the air. As for why Earth is gone, maybe, the author left that to us, the readers.
