He's quite perceptive and has knowledge on the floor that helps the adventurer on their greatest for and seeing Souya had his sword he probably got the gist of it,connected the dots then it clicked on him that the knows the person in front of him which is Souya. Just being stoic about it.

He didn't remember at all I believe, but he did hear Rana's comment and see his own sword on Souya, so he probably just deduct that shit happened

As for Rana I'd assume after his fight with the first prince,everybody already forgot who he is. Probably Rana's bond with Souya wasn't severed during this event. That even when he was Ash Ea said that Rana has been talking about someone who doesn't exist which lead her on waiting under the bridge mentally drained. That last sliver of hope she was clinging to before she forgets about him has been answered before Lazarissa got to taste a soulless body (The clone also explains why the Rana that Lemuria and Lazarissa summoned has dead fish eyes and Gunmerry was Very Very certain that that is not her). Let's just wait more what will come to light

To me the case where he deduced things is unlikely. He clearly addressed Souya as foreigner, and with memories about Souya wiped from almost everyone. It became official that Yukikaze is the only foreigner in the city now. And with Souya's drastic change in appearance no one could even connect him with a foreigner saved for Yukikaze. Also, the way they talked clearly tell the history between them. Those were not the words of someone who deduced things from a sword, those are from the one who knew Souya well and thought highly of him, just too arrogant to admit it.
