Can't say I remember when Rana was putting on a good act, or good enough to impress Medimu at least. If he's talking about the sham marriage thing, pretty sure half of it is the cat's power of deceit at work and half Melm just rolling with it so his 2 daughters can have someone to rely on, instead of one dying and the other miserable.

Yeah I remember that, and Rana's also not above beating the shit out of Frey and drinking her blood to reach Souya. But Medimu doesn't know about that, unless I missed something and he can detect "nullified" elven charm magic.

Meruru really does inherit the bad nature of his parents, with some of his grandpa's slyness mixed in lol. He lacks Souya's willpower and patience tho. Or perhaps he haven't shown them yet. And yeah, let's hope he was just joking about the wife part, because if he wasn't, doubt he would escape with just a few broken bones, even if he is his son. Uh...
