Feels a bit inconsistent that Ning Yanting's personality is like this but he's also apparently somewhat successful at his job. Like I guess I could see him being OK at the parts of his job that required being book smart (but not math skills) but it seems like there's also a pretty substantial politics/intrigue/not getting screwed over by other people aspect to being a court official that he would completely fail at.Like if I worked in the same ministry as him and I needed a scapegoat for something he would be my first choice.

Im sad, so sad.. Father Ning and eldest brother Ning still haven't 'awaken' yet, even brother Ning is letting the wolf into the house after all of mother Ning's warning.. (cant blame them bc mother ning didnt explain but still..)
