From my understanding so far, mc =bad reputation. Ml=no aspirations so took mc to strengthen that image+ mc looks really beautiful. Mc, married, still has to meddle with original family = no good impression from others, much less ml. Then, somehow the bro got labeled as a traitor/treason/committed a crime. Tell me, why and where will the ml treat mc kindly? Also, think of it as a plotline. Necessary for the beginning.
