They don't understand her at all. They have never lost their loved ones like she did. They don't understand why she rather admit defeat than let her people die. Reputation can be build again but you can't never bring a dead back to life.

It's a really tough line to walk. Maintaining your humanity and care for others but still become respected, powerful and feared by your enemies. Unfortunately with the nasty enemies still lurking in the shadows she's going to have to get stronger to protect those she loves.
