Well, the original price for the red fruit is one coin for unlimited amount (as much as you can eat and bring home). Rising its price to a coin for 10 fruits--in these elves cognition--is as shameful as deception and stealing. Even if there's some elves who's willing to squander their coins for it, they're--as cyan-badge wearing elves who are considered as "rice-bucket"--also using their tribe's resources (because the cyan-badge-wearing elves only get money from their tribe's provision).But, what's about being shameful and deceitful merchant? She even think that thief is honorable profession. What's about squandering her own tribe's resources and being a "rice-bucket"? Her source of money are as many as people. She just needs to steal it from them.Can you see her twisted outlook of moral values here if she shamed their outlook of merchant and "rice-bucket" while doing her thief's work? She even once said that paying money for something she wanted was hurting her pride as Godly Thief. I'm not saying those elves wasn't wrong. Please do not use logic as the basis of any criticism against this novel!Reminders of petty things such as reason, physics, common sense... really distracts one from cultivating 'suspension of disbelief'!

I'm sure every race is racist and it just shows itself in different ways and situations :PBut hey, at least the elves don't cut people open and fuse them with other races (at least as far as we know at this point in the story) :P

Humans are the worst though. Elves don't experiment on their own people or kidnap others from other races for research.Or cut people open while still alive.
