Yeah really. So far all non moonshine tribe elves were more like corrupt nobles than graceful elves.

I don't see how Elder Yue is different to Qie Er. They both prioritize to save as many elves as they can. Qie Er sealed the tower and refused An Ran's request only after he did his best to "save" SYX. Seeing that he couldn't save her, he refused to send some elves who's weaker than himself into a suicidal "rescue mission". Meanwhile, after Elder Yue knew that a trainer as strong as Qie Er couldn't save her, he didn't go to save her himself but sent some other elves (who's weaker than him). The results was obviously they couldn't even move pass the chaotic vortex, much less taking her out of it.
