I disagree, because negative emotions are necessary for human development. You need to undergo suffering and pain to improve; its how you gain wisdom. Sometimes in life, one setback is insufficient, so you need a few more to actually understand the consequences. But, dying due to too many setbacks, that's just unfair; all those failures and trials, only to die in the end.

Then, most of people will die. As long as they're alive, there will always be one moment that human have bad thought, bad intention, and/or negative emotion in their life (e.g. when some students wish their teachers had severe stomachache etc. on the monthly scheduled test/exam so that the exam would be delayed and they have more time to study). It IS important to have positive emotions and thought and good intentions. But, when we have bad intention, negative emotion and thought, it's not the end of the world. It's more important to fight against those bad things inside us and win over it. As long as we can't win over it, we need to at least suppress it and to not let it be expressed ever.

Isnt this basically Psychopass? Where the villian due to a brain disorder where he thinks killing isnt anything bad cant be judged by the system's gun and cant be condemned

But think of all the people who have depression and end up dying just because of an imbalance in their hormonal levels. (I believe current stats say 1 in 4 people will experience depression at some point.) There must be other conditions where people feel negative emotions. And not all negative emotions are used negatively. For example I hate racism. I hate the scum that prey on children. Hate is a 'negative' emotion but my hatred of those things is not something I deserve to die for! Instead hatred of an injustice can power people to right it, can drive people to campaign against it and enact laws that prevent and punish those guilty of breaking the law.

Are you kidding me! In a world where every victim who hates his perpetrators would die, every person who committed crimes but did not feel sorry would live. How is that world better?

I think maybe some other also remain pure like this elder, i think moonshine clan know something of the reason and they action of "treason" is related to the corruption of the elves
