Yu Ying abused her authority to get 3 experts that are for her protection to attack SYX with the intent of stripping her pride and breaking her mentality before killing her. Ying Yu is meant to be from a kind race. You expect a young girl who has lived through horror and bloodshed not to take revenge. Not to mention that this Yu Ying's pride will never allow her to give in unless it is broken. She brought it upon herself for seeking revenge unjustly and abusing authority and having a cruel and vicious heart.

Just because everyone in the world is a bitch does not mean she has to stoop down to their level. And no I don't expect her to do nothing but like I said death is enough, but torture is too much.

Seriously, I am starting to think this writer is a misogynist: 1. ALL high level masters/craftsment/Gods/high level demons (except 1 female -> 399 male) are male 2. ALL city owners/bosses are male Read more 3. ALL the silverguards are male, all the instructors are male, all the recruits except female lead are male 4. ALL the best, top level students at the Holy school were male 5. Except for the female phoenix (who doesn't even get a name or a chance to bond with her child) all the other beasts are either male or non-determined sex 6. The few females in the novel, so far are either stinking awful (her cousin!), or like her Grandmother...really nice but kind of powerless or stupid (handing herself over to die even though the bad guy clearly said he will not let her granddaughter off...what? What was the point of that????) 7. AND NOW, in this chapter...the female lead actually says 'women say one thing but mean another....so....NO means yes'. What woman says that? I've been kinda annoyed for some time that there are no strong female role models anywhere. Kind of annoyed that she seems to have been 14 years old for 3 years. Kind of annoyed that the stupid/annoying/cute baby dragon and phoenix never seem to grow at all???? and Vermillion Bird has been 3-4 forever. And, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, can the mythological beasts, who walk, talk, think and save the heroine's ass on a regular basis, PLEASE have a fricken name! She doesn't call the dumbest human "human" but the mythological beasts are called by their beast type. Rant over. Show less

Oh i so so so agreeee... I think I might have pointed this out myself in a few days if you hadn't... I really really expected her to be noble, because for one she was a lady Saint and another she is an elf. I expected her cousin to take some time but come around to being not bad but then... It's just so so annoying, not having any other proper female character. The main reason I started this novel was because I was tired of all the Chinese novel having main male characters but now that I have read it females are better portrayed in harems than this.

For points 1 and 2 probably chalk it up to Ancient China ethics, for point 3 likely any female who would qualify for the advanced training camp would likely aim to become a Lady Saint instead of a Silvermoon guard, for point 4 technically not true as the second place student of the priest branch was a girl we met in the School placement contest whose team SYX scammed out of their badges, for point 5 fair enough we haven't really met that many mythological beasts, point 6 what about mengmeng or Yao Ji, point 7 is long so I'll break it up for what SYX said this chapter I'll just chalk it up to stereotypes, for her being 14 although it feels like 3 years it's only been less than 2 years since the start and we had her 14th birthday during the construction of Rising Sun City arc, Mini Dragon literally can't grow up due to not being in the correct world, Baby Phoenix I can let slide as we have literally no idea how long it takes phoenixes to mature, VB still looks the same because he still hasn't had a chance to recover from his injuries against Taotie and hasn't told SYX how to heal himself, and then for the Mythological Beasts not having names, even the beasts themselves refer to each other that way those are there names, everytime we run into a mythological beast they refer to each other as such, Redflame Beast even called VB, VB.

Jun Wu Xie is another MC in this author novel. JWX and SYX transmigrated from the same accident. That is why ppl love to comment the similarities between these 2 MCs
