I wonder if she'd warn the citizen, especially the merchants to move their merchandise (moving assets) to the main city before the war. That way, SYX just need to rebuild the lost cities (and rebuild them their lost property) when the alliance left the Barren Land. I believe, the alliance would be able to gain foot in those cities even if they could "snatch" it from her. After all, the lost cities would be damaged after the battle and it still has to face the beast tide soon.

People reading should remember Taotie can't unleash the full power of Holy Beast due to not having eaten enough. Xiu had already said the current Taotie is the equivalent of a peak Mythological Beast.

Im so done,, she said so herself that there was a huge gap between mythological beasts and holy beasts,,, why not use Taotie then, even the elves had a difficult time dealing with him. You have such an easy solution in front of you man

Because he needs to eat? You can't blame the book when the biggest characteristic of taotie flew over your head. It was literally mentioned in the book that taotie needed atleast 8-10 years of eating a gaint amount of food to simply break out if his cage. Now you want him to go against 4 countries at his lowest point? Are u good bro?

How are 14 days enough to gather all their troops? The army isn't usually stationed in the same place. They're scattered around the country. Communicating with them and gathering them, then planning the siege, transporting the weapons and provisions etc should take quite a bit. Keep in mind they don't have mobile phones or Internet so even just communicating with their allies takes time for the messages to go back and forth.I guess the author is trying to make the situation worse so that SYX can shine brighter at the end. But that really is poor writing. There are better ways to keep with logic and statements written before and also make the MC look awesome.

Girl you'll be surprised. JK Rowling's great grandfather or something was just a waiter a week before and next thing he knew, he became a soldier. War doesn't have a fix schedule. When you need to move you don't dally and enjoy the view. If you have mandated ROTC in your country like we used to have in the Philippines, you'll often hear "double time! Double time! If you're in the war you're already dead." Half a month preparation is enough especially if the country already have armed forces on standby.
