Some of the comments here are ridiculous. Her parents do have a right to tell their 15 year old daughter to not put herself in potentially dangerous situations. And no they did not leave her to be abused. They sent her back to a grandfather that was supposed to love and care for her and keep her from the hardship she experienced because they, at the time, could not possibly take care of a child. It's possible that she would be dead if she had gone with them because elves don't take kindly to half-breed children. And her father was also half dead and in a land under the control of the undead. just who would have taken care of her? They did the best they could in a situation where they did not have much options and they chose to think of their kid rather than being selfish. Let's be truthful it's better she grew up in the hands of the Shen family as waste because if she went anywhere else, sealed or unsealed she would have died or become a mindless slave. Her uncle would have killed if showed any ounce of talent, the elves would kill (or bully) her simply because she did not look like an elf and her mother 'deceived their king '. and let's not forget headmaster and bsp. Stop riding on her parents for being parents. she had to fend for herself before but now that her parents are here she does not have to.

I mean, they shouldn't be controlling but they've got every got every right to disagree with her plan. They're her parents, it's perfectly normal for them to be worried especially since they've been away from each other for so long and now that they finally got their daughter back, she suddenly wants to go on what they think is a suicide mission because again, they were separated and they wouldn't have any way of knowing the full extent of her accomplishments

I agree. It has nothing to do with whether they are 'good' parents or not. The fact of the matter is they left their daughter to be abused (albeit unknowingly) for 13 years and if it weren't for a soul transmigrating and Xiu she wouldn't even know that they were alive. She is way past thw point for her parents telling her what she can and can't do.
