Idk, if she actually care and clear her name in the first place, would there be THAT MUCH hostility from the other students and mentors toward her that they would turn a blind eyes when some students bully her students?

She doesn't care about being personally slandered. She stays in her room all the time so she had no way of knowing her students were being bullied because they didn't say anything to her. When she did find out and that they were defending her it raised her protective instinct for them.
