I have to wonder how big the battle stage/arena is and how "punny" their small spells are. Zhanye and co. can move around with high speed, attacking and avoiding the small spell while none of the small spells hit the people behind them (or no one was around them in the farthest range of the spells). I mean, there are around 80-90 people in the arena.
