I like Xiu. He's not petty at all. An annoying ML would have restricted SYX's actions, in order for her to not interact with the love-strucken fools.

Yea he gets jealous and gives evil stares and sometimes tells her how he feels, but he never actually tries to control her actions because he respects and trusts her. He just doesn't like people looking at HIS fiance because only he is worthy XD

Ehhhhh Xiu is pretty damn petty. remember that time when she robbed the belts of the silver hands? He knew there was nothing sexual about it at all but instead turned it into something sexual and directly forbade her from ever doing something like that again. TBH Both Xiu and JWY are suuuuuppperrr petty and jealous

He's sometimes petty but not in the way it damages the relationship. He always looks for the best for Yanxiao but he does get a little jelly from time to time. Both Xiu and Shen Yanxiao are silly little overprotective bugs

@Tazac Yes he can be petty but the whole stealing belts thing was also for her sake - she didn't get that it could be misconstrued by the victim. Yes he lost control a bit, but he's always stopped when he senses her discomfort. He respects her. I've read some josei in which the ML will beat up any love rivals even if the FL has no interest in them. It is also common for ML to 'punish' FL by if not raping her getting damn close to it...and weirdly that is seen as 'romantic' by some readers. In my case it is time to drop the novel if that happens.
