Alright, I have to admit that although I am not very fond of Xiu, as I consider him to be a wet blanket, I have to give credit where credit is due. Poor birdie. He must be so scared to lose his master. Magical beasts who sign contracts with humans are also quite tragic. They only live with them for what is a few years in their eyes and then the humans die. So it makes sense for VB to try to keep her away from ANY harm whatsoever. Plus he really likes this master of his, so much so that he'd rather die in her place (which he already did). It must be really painful to see her taking risks. We're with you VB xx don't you worry. Your master is the MC so she can't die. Even if she does die, she'll just get revived.

Loyalty doesnt mean letting your master go head first into a battle that you believe they wont win. Loyalty means going whatever you can to convince them of your opinion and following their orders regardless. Loyalty doesnt mean just shutting your mouth and blindly agreeing to whatever suicidal mission the want.

Exactly. She has never been a boss, but a leader. Her followers, some respect her decisions, others don't agree because they're very worried for her. However, from what I have seen, they are all willing to fight by her side and sacrifice themselves. That's, as kyaa-muffin said, loyality.
