He was the one who teleported MingYeand the other undead back to Howling Abyss and he was also the one who healed the divine energy on MingYe. He probably felt her energy when it went haywire in the dragon cemetery. And then maybe he also felt a trace when healing his son. And, as soon as he saw her and felt her energy, he snapped.

Well there was already a flag since Xiu mentioned she'll send SYX out.. So yeah, it is to be expected. I still wished she wouldn't jump in on the pit dug by this old fart with a youthful face since she knew nothing about him only that he is powerful enough to kill her on the spot. Oh but taking risks is what she does so yeah, this might be a blessing to her. ??
