Her whip is actually a pretty awesome weapon once she can infuse her curses into it. Probably the best melee weapon for her.

Even if she can't do that, she can still grab people with it, bring them closer, then curse them. Bearing in mind she's a warlock, I think a dagger or a sword would be useless for her.
