Dumbledore was a man who used a school as a hiding place for a valuable treasure that was wanted by an archvillain who even he couldn't defeat. In other words he placed all of his students and staff in grave danger. Throughout the series he made judgements that placed others in grave danger. I don't think he's all that great.
