Lol. SYX, you said it can't be blamed on TNZ and DG. But, on the same breath you said they had made mistake which led to all of this incident. (In the previous chapter, she never mentioned that she had made the same mistake as TNZ ang DG. She just said "It's not because she's too weak/stupid, but Satan was just too cunning/scheming"). 😑😑😑

I have been wondering, will the contract beasts strength remain as they are and not be further enhanced? They seem to be getting more useless in fights like how VB was with the experimental subjects. Only Taotie was a bit stronger in the battle back then.

It's not that they are not getting weaker but their enemies are getting stronger. VB is already a Holy beast as well but those experimental bodies are not weaker. Besides at their last fight, they are against hundreds of enemies, not just one. If you still think they are not strong then I don't know anymore what is strong for you

Uumm, isn't it already said that the magical beast's strength growth was really slow? And the author meant REALLY REALLY SLOW. VB and the other four "mythological beast of Long Xuan's mayor families" has been on the level of mythological beast for ten thousands of year (since the last war between gods and devils). VB promoted to be Holy Beast recently just because he "ride on Little Phoenix's coat tail (reborn)". Meanwhile, Taotie is vicious beast, one of the first Dragon God's son. Naturally, he has his own way to strengthen his power (a.k.a devouring other's power). So, his growth could be faster than magical beast (as long as he has enough food).If VB and Taotie get a rapid power up now, it would be by some kind of another miracle. And the author must concoct these miracle carefully because she has already thrown a lot of "plot armor"/"protagonist halo" on SYX. Otherwise, some readers (me) would just 🙄 or 😑 or (most likely) 🥱😴. Then I have to take another break from reading this book before I continue. 😅
