A man who can be separated from the MC for a long period of time isn't "qualified" to be the ML. 😅 Ofc, with good writing skill, the authors might be able to convince their readers that he's a good ML despite he can't meet the protagonist for years without any letters (messages) and brief dates scattered/scheduled all along those years. But in most case, the readers would think such men must be disqualified. 😁😅🤦‍♀️
