“Nor was it certain that they would be their last”… I guess the author forgot about the fact that BT, WT, AD and Qilin signed soul contracts with the guys, meaning once they die, so do the Mythological Beasts. VB is the only one that signed a blood contract.

I assume they can cancel the contract if they mutually agree, and would presumably do so before they die of old age, otherwise there's no way any magical beast would sign such a contract

Tsk tsk tsk. You bunch of mythological beast don't know why VB was so "possessive"? You've not gone through situations in which your master pampered you, then bring in new "little concubines" each time they returned from a mission. Rinse and repeat. 🙄🤭😂

Ok but we discovered that The myth beasts will only serve QX, and the others because they oerformed the life and death contract so that if one dies the other will too. Now that they are Gods it is likely that the myth beasts will die first unless the contract is void by Godhood.

Right. But, this chapter just mentioned "nor was it certain that they (Qi Xia and co.) would be the last (master)." It means there's still a possibility the mythological beast can have new master after Qi Xia and co. (regardless they're died or not). So, idk. 😶 This author has changed several established plots and settings in her book without hint nor explanation. 🤷♀️😑
