There's a saying that "sword/knife has no eye". In a way, it ring some truth. You can slash on or fire at an enemy, it's intentional. But, when s/he dodge it, whoever and/or whatever behind her/him will get that slash/shot (bullet/bomb). But, this chapter just confirm that ALL the previous form of attacks in this book (except this experimental subjects' self-explosion) have "eyes" as they wouldn't hurt their ally/comrade even if it unintentionally hit them. Or maybe, it also has "self-control" because it'll avoid their comrades or disappear before it hit their comrades after it's released by its owners/evokers. 😶💬
