There's usually a difference between a magic warrior and a mage warrior. A mage warrior can use both magic and weapons, but more like someone who is multiclassing as a mage and a warrior. A magic warrior is a fighter who can use magic, usually prioritizing beneficial magic (like body enhancement) and temporary enchantments (ie temporarily altering a weapon to be sturdier, or giving it an element. There's a chance that this world doesn't use that logic, but the author seems to follow rpg tropes.

Since the new active skill he got with class is Magic Sword it's probably a fighter class that can also use magic and has magic based sword skills. It should be a pretty versatile class he already knows fire, lightning, wind and water magic so he has a descent variety.
