just as i said before no matter how frustrated i am with the white lotus act of gu jinyu, it won't exceed my dislike for the marquis gu, mind you what i hate the most in cn novels is white lotus and green tea bitch but jerks like the marquis just don't belong to any category i could speak of, he's entitled and thinks everything is within his grasp (within his family cause of this stupid patriarchy)the only thing was that because of the comedic scene of jiaojiao beating her father makes him more approachable than gu jinyu who's like a possible threat in mc's reputation

not that the mc have any reputation to speak of but everything in gu jinyu may rub the readers the wrong way. it's sn unspoken fact that because we follow the mc all throughout the story that we automatically establish our side on mc so whenever mc was wronged it feels like the reader was the one who got injustice, even if the mc here does not care about those, we care!

Marquis Gu was not only a stupid father, but also a stupid husband. if his mother doesn't mind yao shi's background, it should be an easy thing to bring this in-law-daughter-in-law pair closer. I wonder what he did to make his mother think he was bewitched by Yao shi and make his mother feel like her son was distant? really useless person. stupid.

I agree. I think it's great that he actually loves Mama Gu but unless he is willing to stand up and fight for her, he is useless and actually doing Mama Gu more harm.
