I can't help but feel that the story would be much more interesting if we as readers were privy to MC's inner thoughts and motivations, similar to how the first chapter was written. Is she even the main character? It seems like we only see her from the perspective of other characters now, and large parts of her activities happen entirely off screen...

i would've like to relate to her as well but i think the way it is now is fine since if there is direct perspective, usually it can also cloud the judgement of the readers.I was thinking about why the mc seems detached, but you pointed it out accurately.there is also a pro in third person because everything is just spoonfed to the readers if we directly knew the mc's perspective but here not only can we view the mc as a seperate person but we have the chance to enjoy the flow of not knowing anythingRead more
