Didn't ZY try to get MC in some serious trouble before though?

I would feel more sympathetic, but then I remember that she tried to destroy the reputation of Gu Jiao’s medical facility, hired an assassin to kill her, and tried to lay hands on a child because he wouldn’t tell her where Gu Jiao lived. And this is all because GJ caught the interest of her brother? Oh and let’s not forget she tried to harm a random lady who wanted to ask for An Junyang’s advice. It’s okay to be spoiled but that’s hardly a reason for murder.

I feel bad for Gu Jinyu, because at the start of the story she didn't do anything bad at all, and yet she kept eating loss after loss, not to mention how the only mom she ever knew abandoned her in favor of the biological daughter. It was only after she had been repeatedly pushed aside and marginalized that she did something reprehensible in claiming credit for something she didn't do, and I feel like the only reason she did so to begin with is because she felt like she had to. Zhuang Yuexi on the other hand? When she was first introduced, she was unassuming and sort of blended into the background, but as soon as she became a more active character in the story she started doing vile stuff. The only reason Gu Jiaojiao and her family escaped unscathed is because Jiaojiao is too capable. I don't feel bad for her at all.
