I honestly liked this somewhat rank being about the point value of each monster to the school, not unique but creative and it goes with the school like story we're reading, I just hope that this fight is portraited as something hard and difficult and not an easy fight 'cause they have Will and his plan.

What's the point of that conversion system when Will's team, excluding Will himself, only has an average of around 10000 points and yet they completely butchered a horde of Evil Sentinel (according to the conversion, an Evil Sentinel should fight equal to a member of the team)? And if that's the case, I wonder what made them think they can beat a 110-credit monster before?

Thanks for reading and commenting, FoxReader11314!It's to tell us that the Duke is 20 times stronger than they are. Besides, it's very trope-y/DragonBall-ish to have power numbers, isn't it? This story sure doesn't shy away from such references. XDSomething that's easy to miss is that a fair bit of time passes between some of the arcs. When Theon first encountered the Evil Sentinel, he likely didn't have his 9k-ish credits yet. and even so, he's technically still weaker than one(since it's credit value is 10). And when even in this arc, he ran into a horde of them, so even if he's now strong enough to beat them 1v1, it's still a tough fight. As for 110 credit, where did that come from lol? The toughest monster to appear before this is the Balkar with credit value 11. Which was strong and only defeated because of their inherent weakness against the elf's magic. Will could do nothing against it.Read more

I was talking about Naberus, the boss of the combined hand-on with 110 credits value. They were supposed to beat it in chap 13 (I doubt they can though), but they only saw that monster's corpse because it was destroyed by this 270-credit monster that we see in this chapter.

Lol oh right I forgot about it. Yeah, that's why Liana had to assemble the best for that. It was definitely a challenge for them, they weren't expecting to have an easy time with that. And that's prob also why there were deaths in the previous years

I went back and checked, and Julius specifically says it, that casualties are common when challenging it.
