Forgetting someone from the other world who no one else knows and can remind him of is on a completely different level than forgetting Rana. There will be tons of people to remind him of it, it can't possibly go unnoticed this time around. So in that sense it's actually more acceptable. Knowing that he's forgotten this time, he'll work towards a way to remember - be that slaying cats or gods or whatever else may be needed.

Maybe the next person he will forgot will be Ea. She is the next one he met after Rana and this seems to be going in an order. First grandpa, then imouto, and now Rana.

The hell I can't tell if Lanseal knew of the costs on using that power and noticed this discrepancy on his memory with Rana and took advantage of it.Wasn't Rana also a follower of the cute goddess? Rana being next will be interesting. If the AI's forgot his sister's existence, will then Ea and everyone else will forget about Rana? Will it be only Ezusu remembers, or will even a God forget? So many questions...
