The works of the gods most certainly are ironic. Garving must really have a high opinion of himself and his experiences if he forgot such a simple truth: there are plenty of times hardwork and effort do not yield results. Sometimes another's theory proves true, or a flash of inspiration occurs as if a miracle was bestowed. If plodding along tirelessly was all life required, Souya wouldn't be in such a vexing predicament.
