Gah, rushing to save someone just to witness them die right when you arrive is such a low-blow of a writing cliche... then again, someone had to keep the enemy busy while they were on the way and then give way, so I guess unavoidable after all. Re: Sooya, why would the AIs also mispronounce it? They should be perfect in everything... well, I guess it could fit the American-made Izora if she had an accent, but why Makina too? Re: MC using skills, that was a bit of a shock. Especially since the skill was so much like the "reenactment of a heroic moment" thing, but was very lackluster in the end, and also didn't consume his weapon like it was supposed to... Also, why would he be chanting "Rauaryuna" instead of "Souya"? Read more

Oof, and re: the super fishman spear, wtf? Is Geto-san a bigger fish than I thought after all? Why would he have access to such a special item? Such random convenient plot-devices stink of bad writing to me...

The name think happens in Death March, where he realises he’s met another Japanese person because she’s the first person not to mispronounce his name. In both cases however, most people are likely to have learnt his name by self introduction rather than seeing it written and it’s not like a long “o” is a uniquely Japanese thing to mishear..
