At first that is what i thought as well but then it says they will be picked from each race. Although that is for the Superior Gods so maybe the animals of Phantom will be the God level just below that? Since little Xiao has all of the races might she be the Lord God? So many good questions and only so much time in the day and night to read....? ? sleeping is so overrated ? ?

I think they'll be gods too. He just said that the gods powers were left in their temple and can be 'picked up' (I assume by those deserving of the power or something). Hence the group can go there and become gods.
