If there's a cycle of life, why does SYX talk about the soul of the dead (gods and the other races) are lost/perished forever just because they're dead?As long as the souls are reincarnated, they could reunite again. A few hundred years of reincarnation cycle are nothing in front of the gods, the devils, and the undead's lifespan. Afaik, in this kind of setting, the most reincarnation could "rob" is the experiences which assist their character development. At least, they would still have the same soul, the same appearance, and the same personality (and might be the same fate). So, I think it shouldn't be the reason for the god race's detached trait.

It was mentioned in the earlier chapters that Satan destroyed the souls of the other gods, DG was only able to preserve his soul by chance

I'm thinking it's Ouyang. I also feel like he secretly behind the disappearance of the Lord God and for the Devils randomly starting a war.
