They would have to walk through a war zone and if they get revived the people would be forced to be slaves

Undead cannot resurrect their own kind and they also need intact body to resurrect

So far, we know some certain limitations of the undead resurrection technique which are: the corpses/bones are utterly destroyed (Doudou's mother and his father's followers did self-explosion); it's their second resurrection (the lower undead can't be resurrected); and the corpses/bones are blessed with divine power (a new information in one of the recent chapters). At the battles in the first day war in Barren Land, it's said that all of the corpses were crushed/destroyed, so they can't resurrect it. Furthermore, SYX has shared her view of consensual resurrection to her undead students and (most probably) Yaksha. Given his admiration for Xiu and his agreement points to enter the alliance, he might have already imposed this new rule of resurrection on his people. @XxxVxxX "The undead can't resurrect their own kind." Read more That's actually a "changing" setting, tho. Before SYX became undead and at the earlier period she's in Howling Abyss, it's said the undead source of lower undead were the other race corpses they'd stolen and the corpses of the higher undead (born undead). It's only said that they couldn't resurrect lower undead. The period when the previous war between gods and devils was the most "prosperous" time for them because they could get their hands on more corpses but also the most devastating because a lot of their lower undead also killed (hence their scheme on the bone dragon in the Hidden Dragon Continent arc). But latter, it's said that the undead can't resurrect their own kind (that means it's not only the lower undead, but also the higher undead too). A few chapters ago, it's even mentioned how the undead couldn't resurrect any lower undead in the previous war because the god divine power blessed the corpses (and made it impossible to be resurrected by undead). So, ugh... Yeah, I won't stand on that kind of "shaky ground". Show less
