Actually, I was wondering why Satan didn't directly split his army into several armies and attacked several cities of Barren Land on parallels previously. They can destroy the Barren Land's force and reach Rising Sun City at faster speed without worrying about a sneak attack from their back and/or their sides. After all, they can afford such style of war with their size of army. But, it's also said in this chapter that the devil army hasn't been worried about sneak attack which negated my guess of why Satan ignored the cities between the gate and Barren Land then he attacked every cities between the border of Barren Land and Rising Sun City. It's said that he doesn't know the "topography" of Barren Land. So, I guess it can be the reason he just attacked each city they met along the way. But, it's also said the Barren Land was once the devil's stronghold and the defense mechanism was developed by Satan. After destroying 30+ small cities these past three days and the survivors of the first day battle released a huge amount of lanterns to the sky from their cities, the devils army still behave as if they doesn't have a clue about the location of the cities (including Rising Sun City) in Barren Land. Not to mention, Satan announced he would take his army at Rising Sun City after the beast tide. So, again, I guess the "topography" they're talking about was similar to the previous "terrain" and "geography" which is the defense and offense force, mechanism, and/or arrays of the cities. Anyway, now that Hei Jiao cut one of their lines of information (one group of Silver Hands), I expect our God of War with his OP expertise in war would accurately predict the devil's new moves a.k.a Satan has done "playing around."
