She's feeling sorry for the villagers who killed countless ppl, just cause they were nice to her during the day? She'd have felt different if she stayed overnight for sure. Did she forget the wolves who were almost wiped out by these "kind villagers"?

What I mind more, is her trying to present herself as ruthless, when she is actually a persimmon. She should just be honest with herself and with us, to not let us get so aggravated when she seemingly goes against her so called 'nature'
