Male here, came for the overpowered tag, stayed for the story, and also the overpowered MC. I don't mind whether it's shoujo, shounen, or mature, as long as it's overpowered with a good story, I will read it. Also, I like this novel's figure of speeches. Although this novel is kind of slow paced, it's not as though it is a crawl.

In the end tags like shoujo, josei, shounen and seinen just mean that they target a certain demographic and not that they can only be enjoyed by that demographic. In the end the those tags mostly are only connected to the gender of the main character and their love interest, but otherwise they don't mean much. In probably over 3/4 of this novel you could gender swap everyone and the story would still work :P Read more

I’m a male and tbh I just enjoy fantasy novels

TBH I kind of assume that most of the commenters are male? Which I guess is kind of weird now I think about it, maybe because I work with mostly males and read across genres I got used to a lot of 'male tonality' in comments. I don't much care because as readers it's about how the story resonates with us that binds us together. We each will experience a different story based on our own perspectives even though the writer is helping us see it from the MC's perspective, who we are colours how we experience it, but in it's turn it colours us.
