I really love this author and how they can portray such cruelty as well as make us laugh

God that's horrible, can u imagine being forced to do something so cruel just to protect your family only to learn they were a victim of that cruelty. It's like killing them yourself ( even though they would have died anyways) can you imagine the crushing guilt and despair and hatred.
