It kind of left a bad taste on my mouth. The one who wants to humiliate The Rising Sun City was Duan Heng and co. But, the one who gets the burn are the uninvolved merchants. 😟😔😟

Are you sure they're uninvolved? Aren't they profiting by the mistreatment of her team? Merchants as a group are powerful so could protest the poor treatment and she wouldn't be in that situation, obviously they didn't so maybe they're not so innocent.
