Actually it's not about what would happen buy about their sincerity. I think jiao jiao can accept jinyi if she accepted the gu pair as her parents and she would also accept marquis gu if he attempted to kick jinyu out. It's like they're doing it oit of formality and not because they want to take gu jiao back.

I’m speechless at everyone in the comments saying jiao jiao is being unreasonable and jinyu is innocent lol if she was so innocent the OG fl wouldn’t die so tragically and she wouldn’t insist on being a “good sister” with her despite knowing she doesn’t want and making it seems like she was the holy Mary in front of her parents. She’s lowkey being a white lotus and y’all can’t even tell? And jiao jiao is clearly bluffing. Even if the marquis decided to sent jinyu away I bet she wouldn’t return to the mansion bc she had no affection to them especially the scum dad 🙄

I'm with the fl in this one. Cause she dreamt ot the Original past life and how she died. And we all know her dreams come true so I think she is just taking pre caution

To me the adopted sister is the one who is unreasonable sure dude you may say that she is innocent, but why is use still occupying a magpie's nest. and inevitably Compete for favor or inheretance, think about it if your in Gu Jiao's shoes, she have been through so much, sure adopted sis is young but she is PAMPERED!!! Waited on and fed!!! You who have never experienced hardship, hunger and cold have no right to say that the MC whether or not she is the original one that she is unreasomable. Even if she said she doesn't care, she doesn't care at all but she was testing her father's sincerity to what length or how far she going for her remember she whipped her! Would you really put your future with that kind of person? And that's even excluding the dream. She doesn't know or trust that scumbag. To me this is a decisive and logical way at par with personality and life experience as a transmigrator as an abandoned kid and a trained assassin.

To all of those that said gu Jiao is being unreasonable then do you feel that her orig family is innocent? The Mc dreamed about the previous owner how she was treated when she came back to her family without her twin brother and mother, she was innocent as well but they wronged her so much. it was Mc paying back the things they did to the original owner.

Seems like Gu Jiao is supposed to be bluffing because the author keeps saying she "doesn't care" about Gu Jinyu, but to me that doesn't jive. Someone who completely didn't care about Gu Jinyu wouldn't make a point of saying, "Oh, send her back to the village then," to win arguments. Saying something inflammatory like that to someone and then being like, anyway I don't care about them at all~ when they get mad is obnoxious. Especially since it seems like Gu Jiao was an adult when she transmigrated; Gu Jinyu is like 14. Pretty shameful to be like that to someone so much younger than you.But really to me it seems like the author has it in for Gu Jinyu for some reason? Like Yao shi and Gu Yan* are both clearly supposed to be "good" characters and the author seems to think it's fine for them both to be jerks to Gu Jinyu.Sorta wonder what the author's moral principles re: family are because they don't seem remotely consistent.Read moreRead moreGu Jiao is good for recognizing Gu Sanlang and Xu shi as parents, Gu Jinyu recognizing the Marquis and Yao shi as her parents is apparently her being shallow.Gu Jiao is justified in not immediately recognizing the Marquis and Yao shi as parents, Gu Yan is justified in not respecting the Marquis, Gu Jinyu is again shallow for not immediately recognizing Gu Sanlang and Xu shi as parents.Speaking of, Gu Sanlang and Xu-shi would be sad that Gu Jinyu didn't immediately recognize them as parents, they wouldn't be sad that some stranger took over their adopted daughters body and then scolded their bio daughter when she came to show her respects.Gu Jinyu is good for bonding with Jing Kong and the old lady, people she met less than a year ago and has no blood ties with. Gu Yan and Yao shi are apparently justified in not bonding with Gu Jinyu, who they grew up with/raised, because she's not their "real" family member. Also Gu Jinyu is shallow for going back to the capital with the Marquis (who actually likes her and cares about her) instead of staying with Gu Yan (who bullies her) and Yao shi (who does nothing to stop that and is pretty lukewarm towards her.)Sorta wishing the whole switched at birth plotline hadn't happened, before that the morals in this story were fairly consistent and now it's just "Everything Gu Jiao does is right, it's fine to be a jerk to other people as long as you're nice to Gu Jiao."*Gu Yan is also the worst. Xiao Liulang is aloof but he at least does stuff like read villagers' letters, he's courteous to the family who lent him brown sugar, stuff like that. Gu Yan was and continues to be a miserable cuss to everyone except Gu Jiao. He's a spoiled brat.Show less

This is going the typical route of fake miss vs real miss trope. And not done well

Exactly! Jinyu has done nothing wrong, and yet Jiao keeps picking on her for some reason. A few chapters back we learnt that Jiao is insecure about having parents because of her own past, but that she has no trouble accepting her brother, her husband, the grandaunt, or the little monk. Then what about Jinyu?! How come she can't accept her as well? What's her problem? Is she actually using her as some kind of convenient excuse to avoid being entangled with the parents? It's horrifying!

Nahh, she dreamed about the previous owner and how she was treated when she returned to the marquis, how would you feel if you saw someone who's bullied to death?

It's so unfair for the Gu Jinyu to be send her to the village. She is nice and did nothing wrong. I like the stoey but I don't agree with FL that she should call her bio parents, parents, be send away from her house etc. Our Fl doesnt treat marquises couple like her parents either and this is fine? Why in Chinese writers don't like orphans so much?

Jinyu is greedy. She knew that she's not the real one but she's persistent in making Jiaojiao her sister(?)The original Jiaojiao died and she did not even help her. If the current Jiaojiao is making revenge it's totally reasonable.
