at this point i just hope yao shi divorces marquis gu and then lives freely with gu yan, gu jiao, & the rest. he's really a bad father and if he continued like this, his relationship with gu jiao would never improve. just let him live with his hypocritical beloved daughter. yao shi and others can live happily without them.

He's not a bad father, he has the same personality as Yan and Jiao, he can be convinced but not coerced, and people with similar personalities don't usually get along.

Agreed. I get that Jinyu is unhappy, and it's understandable. Suddenly her parents aren't her parents and whether she admits it or not she's something of a "fake child of her parents" out of the blue and her family isn't her family, so it makes a lot of sense she's struggling, but it's also frustrating to see her doing a white lotus/green tea thing whether it's intentional or not.
