Sigh. The battle of information is always a pivotal aspect in any kind of war. There are all kind of spies in the world, but this chapter just remind me why the well-rounded qualification is important for the top tier trained intelligent/spies.Developing communication devices which is similar to telephone/mobile phone might be too advance for their current forgemen and alchemist, so I won't go that way. But, as a Godly Thief san spy san assassin from modern world, it's hard to believe SYX doesn't make use or take inspiration from morse codes as a mean of communication in this war (it's like the most basic skill of well-trained spies, even the youth scouts can do it). It can help the Silver Hands a big deal in doing their missions. They can use the underground passages to install the "cables for the telegram". In addition to the devices used by Silver Hands, each city can have some "telegram officers" to communicate their situation directly and real time. Then, they can blow up the office along with the city and the entrance to the underground city like always when they're defeated. Scratch that "telegram" technology, even the most primitive morse code (smoke, light, drum, grass, stone, etc) can be helpful.Or, they can take advantage of the underground passages outside the cities to spy on the enemy. You know, like how the submarine observe the above-the-sea situation without showing at the surface of the sea. Making such spying devices and adding a "eavesdropping" function on it shouldn't be hard for their current forgemen and alchemist, right?Read more
